After years of research and trial and error, we have formulated a perfect blend of oils to make a premium knife oil. Not all knife oils are created equal and we have designed our oil to give you the ultimate protection from rust and age. Most Forseti Steel knives are partially made of carbon steel. This is what gives our knives such a sharp edge. But not all knife oils are made for carbon steel. Our blend of mineral oil, Camellia oil, and vitamin E is the perfect balance for maintaining your knife while being food safe.
About Our Oil
We begin with mineral oil because it is food safe and it coats the blade very well. Camellia oil is a high quality oil that is used almost exclusively for carbon knives. Many knife oils say they use Camellia oil, but their knife oil is clear. Camellia oil is yellow in color and our blend uses a high concentration of Camellia oil to give you the best possible protection for your knife. Our oil is finished with vitamin E which is an antioxidant. This makes sure the oil does not go rancid. We also use tinted bottles to help filter out damaging ultraviolet rays. It is best to store your oil away from direct sunlight.
